Tributes to Larry
By: Valerie Taylor May 14, 2012
I knew Larry from playing M:tG with him at Denny's. He was a really friendly and nice guy, and the group won't be the same without him. After hearing of his passing and reading entries in his guestbook I went to YouTube to hear some of his music. I really wish I'd done so while he was alive; he was quite talented and I would have liked to have told him so. My thoughts are with his family and friends tonight. His death is a terrible loss.

Our deepest condolences to the Moon family. We met Gail,Edrey,Gary and Larry about 18 years ago. We lived for about a 2 years in the little white house next door and quickly became friends. Larry had such a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone. He will truely be missed.

Four days later and I still feel sucker punched in the stomach over this loss. Thank you so much for adding pictures to Facebook both young and old. He was a great friend for the 25 years I knew him. Just a couple weeks ago he was talking about a road trip in Texas and drumming up excitement for others to come along. No one can imagine a friend past or present passing away at such a young age. Our heart goes out to the family in this time of loss.

We were so saddened to hear of Larry's passing. Like so many others, we first met Larry at SRO open mic about ten years? ago and, like so many others, were so impressed with not only his songwriting, but also with his good nature. He and his wife were such kind souls, and we always enjoyed visiting together. Our hearts are with his family...he will never be forgotten for his music will live on forever.

I met Larry 16, almost 17 years ago. He was there for me during many difficult times in my life. We wouldn't talk for a while and then I'd run into him when I needed a friend the most. There were a few times he confided in me with tears. For the most part he was the one there for me. I thank God he was instrumental in my life. Everyone needs a friend like Larry Lewis Moon. I miss you Larry.

Larry Lewis Moon will be missed. In the short time I was priviledged to know him and call him a friend my life was enriched. Our common interests in songwriting and performing created a common ground where we could share ideas and encourage each other. Larry and was always ready to offer a word of encouragement and support for his fellow songwriters. A life cut short is always a tradegy but Larry left us with some wonderful insights and tunes....its up to us to keep his memory alive.....go to youtube and search for Larry Lewis Moon and enjoy the tunes...

Our son Josh and Larry were pals growing up. Larry spent a lot of time at our home. Larry had a kindness for everyone he met. He used to use the terms for adults, "Sir and Mam". He was very respectful of others! It was always a joy to be in Larry's presence. GOD just added another star to the Heavens!

Sue, Cecil Burdick and family.

I met Larry through one of the conventions in the area. Sitting at the same table for one RPG or another. We had a good friendship for a long time. He even got me to do a little percussion on some of his earlier recordings, which I hear he went on to do better versions of.

I love this man. We went through a lot together. We had our differences and our laughs. Our drinks and pranks.... *sigh*

I first met Larry in 1999. He play mandolin in our band when we were just barely starting to venture out as musicians. He loved to play and was so enthusiastic about song writing. It was a joy to work with him. I only wish we could have worked together more often and for longer. I know that where
he is now, he will be working on creating great music. Music we will all hear when we finally meet up again. I am counting on that.

Only got to know Larry a few years back. He was the first one of my half-brothers I got to meet. I find myself listening to his music quite often. He was quite a talented guy and will be truly missed. To Wife Kerri and Sherry and Terry, my Sister and brother, Keep your chin up. That's probably how Larry would have wanted it. God never closes a door without he opens a new one to new avenues in our life. God Bless

Larry was always a kind, gentle sweet-heart of a man even when we were all a bunch of young idiots in high school. He provided countless hours of entertainment, love, and support to all he knew. He will be GREATLY missed by many. To Kerri, his loving Wife, I do not know you or Shelby personally, but have heard enough from Larry to know that you 2 are WONDERFUL and are the biggest blessings to Larry. God Bless you both....you are in my prayers!
